You must not be looking very hard. A few minutes searching yielded this: A veterinarian in Saskatchewan during the late 1990's found a consistent association between increased risk of stillbirth and exposure to flared sour gas.

Mhr83: man, it must be so liberating to have a "realism" that allows you to rationalize away any feeling of remorse for causing harm to others. Where can I get some of that? By the way, I didn't say I enjoyed the man's death.

mhr83: You so casually rationalize and apologize away so many people's pain and lost lives and livelihoods. Do you have no conscience? Or are you that totally selfish? You say you have a professor, so I'm guessing you are still young...maybe clever but not wise.

Rock Hound: I agree that as an individual, r.i.p. Mr. Bowles and sympathy to his family. I also agree that energy is a necessity, so respect to you and your profession. However, in the big picture, it's obvious the we need to operate much cleaner.

mhr83: Give your head a shake. "exxon paid those people more than they made in a year"...Well, some people care about a lot more than money. Obviously, since many Alaskans are still very bitter about the 20 year fight and Supreme Court decision, they lost a lot more from their lives than just money.

An oil exec was snowmobiling in a wilderness area? I thought wilderness areas were off limits to motorized travel. At least in Colorado they are. No sorrow here.
